Conceptual Image: Repeatition and Reflection.

THE ULTIMATE

Peabody, MA. Completed 2014

Interior fit-out of a ‘Vanilla Box’ along a highway.

The location of the store in the building and the slope of the site prompted the idea of highly visible, luminous, and sculptural ceiling as the ceiling is the most visible and dominant element from the access road.

Rows of dresses are reminiscent of linear arrangement of railroad tracks while the modularized vaults emphasize the repetition. Pleated fabric panels for the fitting room openings forms a vertical texture that contributes to this rythm created by repetition. The use of fabric and softness of curvaceous vaults emphasize the femininity.  The indirect light above the suspended membrane ceiling modules creates luminous background for the staged changing rooms and its users.
