The Swords is a modification of an existing tower design. The existing structure is considered as to be one of the most economical pylons constructed, with a trio of open lattice towers that each rest on a single point, braced by intricate guy wires.
The existing towers’ form is modified with the addition of metal cladding, accentuating each tower’s volumes. The slenderness of the graceful form, the tapering body and the location of suspended insulators is suggestive of three swords standing and marking the territory. Elegantly balancing on the tip of blades, the swords tower suggest a grand mythical victory.
